“Abounding love” comes from Philippians 1:9-11. The entire quote is “And
it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all
discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent,
and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled
with the fruits of righteousness which come through Jesus Christ, to the glory
and praise of God.” This quote is
on my wedding ring, little did I know that day what my husband and I would
face.
As I take this journey of IF, I keep
coming back to this quote. This quote which
has brought me meaning for so long, rings true even today. I choose to name my blog after this quote
because through all the struggles each one of us is called to love. We are called to a love that overflows. That is where the title come from.
The rest of the quote talks about
knowledge and discernment. As I continue
I know I must have full knowledge of my options and discern what is right for
me and my husband, so that when we end this journey we can be pure and
blameless before God. We also must bear
fruit, and so this quote is the foundation of my blog.
