October 2009 - We get married :) We start ttc right away.
January 2010 - Go in for my annual and find out I have several infections, given antibotics told to come back in 6 months.
November 2010- Dr. puts me on progesterone, thinks I have a short lateral phase, try for 3- 6 months
March 2010- August 2011- Major headaches, have to stop TTC while I get my headaches under control, have surgery with ENT in August.
October/November 2011 - Doctor puts me on Clomid
December 2011- Second try with Clomid- side effects are worst this time
February 2012 (Gotta love my long cycles) - Third and final try with Clomid, side effects are almost unbearable, no BFP
Meanwhile - I am seeing a specialist for my thyroid, my doses continue to go up, my thyroid is being attacked by antibodies
May 2012- Doctor decides to get DH test, his sperm count is low! Send us for more test and to see a different doctor at practice
June/July 2012- DH and I both have full blood work up done. Everything looks good. I have ultrasound - PCOS, HSG - tubes are open, Fertility doctor puts me on Metaphomin, DH is retested- better results, his specialist does Ultrasound- everything looks good
August 2012- Go to see Dr. C, she recommends learning the Creighton Model for charting, start right away, wants to see charts before doing anything, recommended South Beach diet to cut my carbs down
October/November 2012 - First cycle with Tamoxifen - cycle is long (47 days!) NO BFP, P+7 - looks good
December 2012/January 2013 - Second cycle with increase dose, again a long cycle, NO BFP, P+7 -looks good
February/March 2013- Third cycle with another increase does, again long cycle, NO BFP, unable to do P+7, Dr. increased my metephomin to see that helps
April/May 2013 - Fourth cycle, with same does as last cycle, again long, short lateral phase (weird), NO BFP, unable to do P+7 - unable to tell peak
May - June 20013 - No medication this cycle, weird mid cycle brown bleeding (very light), not sure I peaked at all, more brown bleeding on cycle day 35, not sure what is going on.
June 2013- Went on awesome retreat for couples suffering from infertility. Meet wonderful bloggers who concivence me to start this blog. No new treatments, decided to try going Gluten/Soy Free.
August 2013- Went back to Dr. C, waited to I did P+7 bloodwork, wanted me to do clomid again, I said no. Decided to seek out new doctor, ready to do surgery.
October 2013- Went to see Dr. H for first time. Took one look at my charts and said I needed wedge resection surgery as well as a lap. to remove possible endometriosis. DH and I talked and decided to go ahead with the major surgery. Tired of 7 week cycles, knew it would help that. Dr. H is trained to do it robotically, so recovering was only two weeks. She also could do it before the end of the year.
November 2013 - Had the surgery. Stage II/III endometriosis was found and removed, did the wedge resection. Found a couple of cysts that were removed. One was she thinks might be a LUF. (Scary!). Tubes clear, no infections. Took me a three weeks to recover. Over two months to fully feel better.
December 2013- Had surgery follow-up. Wants to post peak blood work panel, check my thyroid, check glucose, do a P+3 ultrasound to start to see if I have another cyst. DH on proxseed of mixture of pills since he couldn't stand the powder. I was too sore to TTC this cycle.
January 2014- Normal cycle length! Woohoo! Very exicted my cycles are down to 28 days. Did not get the blood work done this cycle due to P + 3 being New Year's Eve.
February 2014- Started to do blood work end of January. Thyroid tested my T3 and Free T3 were reversed. My numbers were high all over. Dr. H wants me to do Thyroid study, not sure yet. Did my P+3 ultrasound - another cyst found (LUF) - boo :(. Dr. H gave me treatment plan for it, not doing it until we do full ultrasound series. Could not finish my panel due to kidney stone that took all month to resolve. Did not chart. Too much news all at once.
March 2014- Since I didn't chart didn't have cycle review. This cycle looks normal, expect for the brown bleed before and after my AF.
April 2014- My estrogen looks good! My progesterone drops too low, I have stage III Luteal phase defeat, progesterone support recommend. Also, on my asking started to take Low Dose Naltrexone, hoping it helps overall. Trying to get ultrasound series up here, since I can't take off more time from work. Not going to happen this cycle.
May 2014- Not much to tell, just more blood work, levels were okay not great- no change in meds, tried to schedule ultrasound but not happening. Brown bleeding continues. DH tests come back - his number are low on all three levels.
June 2014- Ultrasound series month. 9 ultrasounds and two weeks layer it was confirmed that I do have LUF's. Still have brown bleeding, no blood work due to no order.
July 2014- Saw Dr. H this month. Plan is to focus on DH's number, he has even more pills to take! My plan is to focus on getting my post peak hormones goods.
Just popping by to say hello; from a fellow IF lady, it is so tough to read these timelines, but so encouraging to see others' faith throughout this journey. Prayers for you and your family!!
ReplyDeleteDo you mean type 3 luteal phase defect? (I think that's where both estradiol and progesterone drop too quickly, which is what I have.) If that's the case, why are you on post-peak progesterone instead of HCG? I know, I know... more questions to ask....
